Sunny San Diego

This weekend Sam and I went to visit our newly engaged friends, Sean and Val in San Diego!  Because we had a three day weekend Sam and I felt that we should take advantage of it and go somewhere warm.  Sam has been traveling so much that we were able to stay in a great hotel using his "gold" member status.  

We traveled down on Saturday and our very first stop was Bull Taco on San Eleijo Beach.  It was a great first stop because it was sunny and warm, something the both of us were needing!  We then walked along the beach with our shoes off and our pants rolled up!

On Sunday we rented bikes and rode down Pacific Beach and again, enjoyed the warmth and sunshine.  Later that night we went to Sean and Valerie's house in Carlsbad!  Nothing like kebabs and coronas to make you feel like you're on vacation!

Monday was our last day and we went to the ZOO!  It was so much fun to go and explore after not seeing it for years.  We enjoyed our day walking around and spending time with our friends.  

For our last meal in San Diego we went to Old Town and ate Mexican food!  (I mean, who doesn't eat Mexican food when you are in SD?)

We had a wonderful trip and hopefully it tied me over for the next couple of months of "no vacations allowed" rule at work!

Thank you Sean and Val for hosting us this weekend, we loved spending time with you and can't wait to visit you again!
