Living La Vida De Keri and Sammy...: Jiving at Five (months)!

Ian turned five months yesterday and let me tell you, it is an amazing sight to see him grow right before our eyes.

This month was a busy month for us and Ian took it in full stride. Our friends Sean and Valerie got married in San Diego and my parents came down with us to watch Ian while we partied it up at the wedding.The wedding was Friday so Sammy and I took the day off and we all flew down that day. We had a great time and I was a blast to get all dressed up and go out for a little while.

On Saturday we drove to Torrey Pines and walked around for a bit and then we drove over to the Kunac's at their house in La Jolla, I always love visiting them because he are such great friends and we always drink and eat well with them. :)

The last day there we spent the day in Old Town and then off to the airport for our 5:30pm flight. Well Southwest had other plans for us and gave our plane away so we had to sit in the airport for another 3 hours! We managed but all of us were very very tired the next day.

Ian is a natural traveler and it has gotten my brain wheels going in thinking that maybe just MAYBE we will go to San Sebastian in October for a visit! It would be awesome to travel with Ian this small so everyone can meet him as well as give me (and Ian) the opportunity to see all our friends and their new additions! Sam would be in Bandon, so I'm trying to convince my mom and dad to come with me....we will see....MORE to come with this idea.

Ian also had his four month shots as well as his check up. He weighed at 14lbs 9oz, 26inches long and 16.5 inches head circumference.....that put in him the 90% for height, 50% for weight, and 50% head circumference for his age. I swear he has grown another inch since that check up too....I know he has gained more weight because we weighed him on Tuesday and he was 15lbs 15oz! Magic breastmilk I guess.... :)

An update to Ian's UTI drama, after a few days of anitbotics, an ultrasound, the results came back and we needed to do a more in depth look, so he had to have another test where they again, put a catheter in him and released a liquid to watch the bladder function, I was preparing for the worst reaction ever with Ian and he looked at me and wiggled a little bit and that was it. No crying, no fussing, no nothing....Needless to say, he was a strong baby. In the end, everything came out normal! (Sorry for the long story!)

In a few days Ian is getting baptized, we are really looking forward to that for a few reasons, one, because Carol is coming from Edmonton for the Baptism and two, we get to see the Finnerty's (Marnie and Marty are Ian's God parents), Steve, Susie, Connor, Nik, Erin and McKinley (oh Baba and Jedo)!

New tricks of Ian's:

He is a chatter box and loves to use his vowels!

He can grab objects with both hands.

He has the sweetest laugh.

He has the most adorable and genuine smile (and he isn't cheap with them either).

He loves his circle of neglect (excersaucer).
